JUSTINE & CLAYTON, Fairmont Banff Springs, Jan. 7th, 2012
My first wedding of 2012 saw Tessa Perkins and I documenting the nuptials of a great couple, Justine & Clayton.
The first image below demonstrates what I see at every wedding…the teamwork & support exhibited by friends and family as they devote themselves to the bride and to each other as they prepare for the big moment.
The last image below demonstrates the fabulous art of our good friend Barb Laberge, cake maker extraordinaire !

Puja & Sameer, Lake Louise, AB, Friday, Jan. 13th, 2012
Well Friday the 13th was a lucky day for one young man! Sameer contacted us just over a week ago seeking our help in documenting his planned marriage proposal to Puja during the couple’s first ever visit to the Rockies. He could not have chosen a much more romantic spot in the world then in front of the ice castle on frozen Lake Louise. I was very happy to have local photographer Kim Payant join me so that we could capture the moment from a couple of angles.
After Puja said YES!, we introduced ourselves and had a wonderful hour making portraits of a very photogenic couple!
Congrats to you both. Thanks for letting us be a part of this amazing moment in your love story!

I had the pleasure this past August of being asked to provide photos for a cover feature in new Canadian magazine, Renovation Contractor.
Had splendid light and a co-operative subject in Roger Smith of Olson Construction based in Golden, B.C.
We met in Field, B.C. where Roger was proud to show off some of his great work, including the Fireweed Hostel operated by Kim & Craig Chapman. The Hostel is just one of several of Kim’s ventures. She is also a Marriage Commissioner for British Columbia whom we have the pleasure of working with at many weddings at Emerald Lake Lodge.

Well, I’ve been neglecting the blog lately so I’ll try to catch up with a post chock full of recent photos.
It’s been so great to work with such awesome clients all year and the last 6 weeks have been no exception. The weather has been as co-operative as the subjects, providing lots of drama, colour and even some perfectly timed snow flurries. As always, we appreciate your comments.

CARRIE & DAVID, Emerald Lake Lodge, Sept. 10th, 2011
Just another bluebird day in the Rockies! This day brought us to one of our fav places to shoot, Emerald Lake Lodge on the B.C. side of the Rockies. Carrie & David of Michigan, along with their family & friends, celebrated their wedding on the shore of one of the most scenic lakes in North America. After a fun portrait session around the lake and a ride in a canoe, the wedding party moved into the historic lodge for a little snooker & singing ’round the piano. This was no Karaoke session as the Bride & several of her friends are professional singers.
October 7, 2011 - 9:02 pm - This had to be the best day of the year for us weather wise!Carrie & David look wonderful and very happy indeed. Love the billiard table shot :O)
