Well, I have to admit it’s always a bit exciting to see your work published. I’ve just got back from picking up the latest copy of Today’s Bride and was pleased to see a nice little article covering one our favourite weddings from this past summer. Thanks Chris & Lorelei for the heads up.
Feel free to check out the August 7th posting in the blog archives (here) for more images and details about their wedding celebration.

What an exciting 24 hrs it’s been here in Banff.
The Olympic Torch arrived in town at approximately 6:00 PM on Jan. 20th and after a tour thru Banff neighbourhoods, Banff’s 1988 Olympic star Karen Percy-Lowe delivered it to the stage in front of hundreds if not thousands of cheering Olympic fans.
We managed to take a few pics in the challenging conditions last night and a few more this afternoon as the Torch headed out of town on it’s way to Lake Louise. The excitement among the folks lining the Relay route was great to see.
My assistant Abi & I were also lucky enough to take some photos with the torch while it spent the morning with the staff of the Banff Park Lodge.

STEVE & REBECCA, Post Hotel, LAke Louise, AB, Jan. 9th 2010
What a way to start off our 2010 wedding season! Abi & I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of Steve & Rebecca at the wonderful Post Hotel in Lake Louise. This is a couple who know how to throw a party! The champagne flowed and appetizers were served in the warm confines of the spectacular Library at the Post. After the couple’s first dance, an amazing dinner was served in the banquet room. A dessert buffet followed that was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Here’s just a sampler of pics from a another great day in the Rockies.

MATT & REGAN, December 19th/09, Chateau Lake Louise, AB
A cool but beautiful day just before Christmas found us in Lake Louise for Matt & Regan’s wedding. The Bride & Groom braved the chilly temps to get some nice portraits on the frozen lake. A good time was had by all at the reception in the Victoria Room at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Connie of Elegant Banff Occasions did a great job organising their big day.

KEELY & PAUL, Banff, Nov. 28th, 2009
Toni & I had a lot of fun running around Banff getting some great images with Keely & Paul. A little cool breeze didn’t bother the bride at all. What a trooper!
Thanks for being so great to work with! Look for your proofs in the next few weeks.

ANGELA & QUINN, Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Nov. 21st, 2009
This past Saturday saw Toni & I working with Angela & Quinn on their wedding day here in Banff at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, one of our favourite venues.
Angela & Quinn were so great to work with! Always smiling and laughing despite the chill in the air, allowing us to take advantage of the spectacular light and get many great images.

TERRI & JEREMY, Emerald Lake Lodge, Nov. 12th, 2009
Well, if there was ever any doubt as to which Rocky Mtn. resort venues might rate in the top 10 for wedding locations anywhere in the world, Emerald Lake Lodge in the Autumn has got to be in that group!
Abi & I had a great time working with Terri & Jeremy & their friends & family on a beautiful, crisp day up at the lodge. The happy couple braved slightly below freezing temps to get some wonderful portraits before retreating into the main lodge to get warmed up by the fire.

RICHARD & ASHLEY, Oct. 23rd, 2009, Banff
This past Saturday saw Toni & I once again at blessed to shoot at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
We were working with Richard & Ashley as they shared their wedding day with their family & friends. The afternoon started with a beautiful ceremony at historic St. Georges in the Pines Anglican church. The main part of the church is one of the oldest buildings in Banff and will be celebrating it’s 120th anniversary next week. As usual, Rev. George Belcher officiated a wonderful ceremony.
Our bride & groom were great to work with as we worked quickly to get some dramatic images outdoors in a chilly wind. We then moved indoors to the warmth of the Banff Springs and enjoyed an amazing dinner in dramatic Mt Stephen Hall. Patrick Smiley of Class Act DJs got the party rolling by spinning great tunes as usual.

DAN & LEAH, Oct. 15th, 2009
Abi & I were pleased to spend a little time with Leah & Dan here in Banff for their intimate wedding ceremony on the Bow River near Bow Falls.
Our friends Karyn Faryna & Robin White presided as Marriage Commissioner & witness. I was happy to serve as the Maid-of-Honour (or was I Best Man ?? ;-} ) for the occasion.
Here’s a sneak peek of your photos. Look for your proof gallery within the next 2 weeks!
