Another fantastic wedding and so many great moments to choose from!  Robyn & George chose the Tunnel Mountain meadow as the site of their ceremony.  It’s a great location as it’s surrounded by mountains and features the grandeur of Mt. Rundle which looms majestically in the background.  It was great to also have Carl Shields back (after his annual retreat to cottage country) to officiate the service.  It was also a treat to finally work with the warm and friendly Reg & Angela Spencer from Get Married in Banff. Great job guys!

Robyn & George, congratulations!  Your wedding was so much fun, full of wonderful and colourful people, and a pleasure to photograph.  Abi & I had a great time!

We caught up with Candace & Rod at one of their stops on their great Northwestern Road Trip. Traveling up from Colorado, with camping gear, bikes & motorcycles in tow, these two are on their way to Alaska via Alberta & British Columbia. They chose to stop at the luxurious Post Hotel in Lake Louise Village to camp in style ;-} and to be wed up at scenic Moraine Lake. The late afternoon light at the lake was spectacular and our bride showed her rock climbing skills as we maneuvered down some steep slopes to get some dramatic images.  Abi & I were honoured to stand in as witnesses as Rick Kunelius presided over the wedding service.

Abi & I had a fun afternoon with Peter & Julia & their big guy Odin at Emerald Lake earlier this month. Odin was the best man and looked great decked out in Peter’s family tartan. Neither boy could compare to the beautiful bride though!

Well, we had a wonderful…& crazy day with an awesome couple at Deer Lodge recently. Despite the weather throwing a few curveballs at us, Lesley & Paul soldiered on and were up for anything, including climbing fences, putting their feet in chilly Lake Louise and above all….dodging a drenching under an overfull awning! (my camera survived it’s swim ;-} )

Abi & I were extremely honoured to be asked to photograph the wedding of Braydon & Nadine at Emerald Lake Lodge this past weekend.  This was a beautiful celebration attended by the couple, their families and a few very close friends.  I can’t think of a detail that wasn’t absolutely perfect, from the picturesque setting, to the absolutely stunning wedding details, the great food and of course, such a warm and friendly group of people!  Hat’s off to Angela Schrempf from Sweet Occasions Bridal Consultancy in Banff for another amazing job!

Congratulations to Jeffrey & Danika who were married at the Carriage House Inn on Sunday.  What can I say…the whole event was breathtaking, from Danika’s dress to the candle lined aisle to the impeccable table decor.  It was a very classy celebration and quite the party!

This week saw me back at one of my favourite venues of the Bow Valley, Canmore’s fabulous Silvertip Resort!  Travis & Amanda had their intimate wedding ceremony in front of the resort’s picturesque gazebo and were married by one of our local commissioner’s, Robin White.  We had great weather for most of the day but mother nature threatened to soak us as we neared the end of the afternoon.  Amanda and Travis were troopers though, and together we embraced the stormy skies and put them to good use in the images we created!

Chris & I recently photographed Andy and Jessica’s wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.  This fun loving couple from Chicago were up for just about anything and I don’t think they quit smiling all day long!  In case you were wonder…yes, Andy’s a real scot!  He’s got the accent to prove it and I could tell he was getting a bit nervous when the wind started to blow!

What a fun group! I recently had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of Shauna & Sean who traveled from Seattle with an enthusiastic group of friends and family to wed outdoors by the shores of Lake Louise. A dinner reception followed in the aptly named “Sun Room” in the Chateau.
